Auditions will be taking place on Saturday 25th July 2009 at theBROADWAY, Barking
What are we looking for?
We will be looking for a total of 30 children to form 3 teams of chorus members who will play an integral role in this years pantomime, Dick Whittington. Our chorus members need to be able to dance to a high standard, love to sing and we are looking for children with lots of character and personality!
What do you need to do?
If you would like to come along to the audition you must book a place by Wednesday 22nd July, otherwise we may not have time to see you if you just turn up on the day. The auditions day will be split into two sections: The morning for ages 7-11 and the afternoon for ages 12-16. To book your place click on the link at the bottom of this page and complete the form.
What will happen at the audition?
We hope that you will have lots of fun and enjoy yourself! Once you have booked a place you will be sent or emailed an information pack or you can collect it from theBROADWAY, Barking or even download it from here
You will need to:
- Bring a passport or similar sized, recent photograph of yourself along with the completed registration form.
- Prepare a chorus of any song to sing unaccompanied (pop, musical, Happy Birthday - anything!).
- You will need to bring dancewear & dance shoes
- Be prepared to stay for up to 3 hours.
- A parent or guardian must accompany you and be responsible for your welfare during the audition.
What happens after the audition?
If we think you could be right for this show, we will contact you to attend a recall audition on the 2nd August at theBROADWAY. Dates:
- Auditions are on Saturday 25th June 2009, invited recall auditions are on Sunday 2nd August 2009.
- Rehearsals are each Sunday from the 30th August to 3rd December, with additional days/evenings in the two weeks leading up to opening night you MUST be able to attend each of these rehearsals
- Full rehearsal and performance details will be given on the day of the audition.
- Performances (48 in total) are from Thursday 3rd December 2009 Saturday 2nd January 2010 and will be equally shared between the three groups.
